Less than a month remains until registration closes for the First Annual South Hagerstown Athletic Booster Club Golf Tournament! The final day to register as an individual or a foursome will be July 7. The tournament will be held on Friday, July 18 at Maryland National Golf Club in Middletown, Md. Golfers will tee off at 9 a.m. the morning of the tournament.

Registration for the tournament includes a cart, access to Maryland National's practice facility, an unlimited beverage cart while you play and a delicious lunch menu of pulled pork, chicken, baked beans and potato salad.

The tournament will also feature raffles for items such as a custom South Hagerstown branded golf equipment package featuring a beautiful kelly green and white Callaway golf bag like the high school team uses, contests (closest to the pin), prizes, opportunities for mulligans and much more.

Proceeds from this event will benefit the South Hagerstown Athletic Booster Club, a registered 509(a)(2) non-profit organization dedicated to supporting the student athletes at South Hagerstown High School who represent our community through funding for equipment, uniforms, and more. The ABC also celebrates student athletes throughout the school year by hosting awards banquets, Meet the Rebel nights for each sports season and other community events.

Registration for an individual player is $150. Foursome team registration is a three pay, four play for $450 ($150 for each player with one player on the team having their fee waived!) Registration can be completed on the Athletic Booster Club website shhsabc.boosterhub.com under the Golf Tournament Registration tab.

Sponsorship packages for individuals and local businesses are available ranging between $100 to $2,000 with each package featuring many benefits. In kind donations are also welcome! About the Athletic Booster Club

Established in 1983 by a group of parents who wanted to increase school spirit and support the student athletes at South Hagerstown High School, the mission has only grown in 42 years. The Athletic Booster Club is a registered non-profit organization that provides necessary funding for teams at South Hagerstown to continue providing students with opportunities to grow through sports, fostering teamwork, leadership, and resilience both on and off the field or court. In the past calendar year, the ABC has hosted community events such as an end-of-year awards banquet, hosting the World Famous Harlem Wizards for pep rallies at elementary schools and donating a portion of ticket sales from the game to support youth basketball organizations in the Washington County community, free Meet the Rebel events and more. The ABC has also provided over $4,000 in scholarships to South Hagerstown student athletes over the last two calendar years. The Athletic Booster Club, in support of the athletic department, is currently overseeing fundraising for a facilities upgrade capital project with goals to make the facilities on campus more modern, safer and higher quality for the teams, marching bands, and community that use them.
